YELLOW FLOWER-BASED DELPHINIUM PLANT AND METHOD FOR BREEDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently breed a yellow flower-based delphinium plant which has been difficult to be bred. ;SOLUTION: This method for breeding the yellow flower-based delphinium plant is characterized in that a plant belonging to Delphinium elatum is hybridized with one of (1) a plant belonging to Delphinium nudicaule, (2) a plant belonging to Delphinium cardinale and (3) a crossbred plant of the Delphinium nudicaule and the Delphinium cardinale, the obtained plant or the progeny thereof is further hybridized with a plant belonging to Delphinium luteum, and an individual having the yellow flower is selected from the plants obtained by the hybridization.
