PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition composed of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having excellent appearance and long-run properties in melt molding, slight discoloration in recovery and excellent interlaminar bonding when made into a laminate.;SOLUTION: This resin composition is characterized in that the resin composition comprises an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, MFR (10.9 kg load at 230°C) of the resin composition shows the minimum value within 10 hours from the start of heating when the resin composition is heated in an nitrogen atmosphere at 220°C and shows the maximum within 100 hours after showing the minimum and the resin composition contains 50-500 ppm of a carboxylic acid (A) having 75 molecular weight, 50-500 ppm calculated as metal element of an alkali metal salt (B), 10-120 ppm calculated as metal element of an alkaline earth metal salt (C), 10-200 ppm calculated as phosphate radical of a phosphorus compound (D) and 50-2,000 ppm calculated as boron element of a boron compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
