PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition comprising an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer which has an excellent adhesion and little odor, allows little generation of gels or hard spots, shows an excellent appearance, has a good long-run property and recoverability and allows little coloring at recovery, and a multilayered structure using the composition. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer which contains from 0.05 to 4.5 mol/g carboxylic acid (A) and from 500 to 2,000 ppm metal salt (B) calculated as a metal element. Here, the ratio of the content ( mol/g) of the carboxylic acid (a1) having a molecular weight of =75 and its salt to the total content ( mol/g) of the carboxylic acid (A) and its salt is =0.1.
