PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten character information processing device capable of reducing a character data capacity and capable of executing a similar editing to a usable another character font. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an input device 1 for outputting an inputted handwritten character as image data, a vector data conversion device 2 for converting the image data into vector data, a character recognition device 3 for analyzing the stroke order and the characteristic of the image data and for determining a character code, a character font registration device 4 for registering the vector data and the character code as character font data in the form defined by the format of a character font to be used, a memory device 5 including a character recognition dictionary 51 where character unit information correspondable to the image data is stored beforehand and a character font data dictionary 52 produced by the result of memory registration of the character font data, and an output device 6 for reading out the handwritten character font data from the dictionary 52 and for outputting the data being able to display and print.
