METHOD FOR LOWERING LEVEL OF NITROGEN WITH ELUTION PROPERTIES IN SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing eluviating nitrogen in soil which can prevent water in rivers or underground from being polluted in advance by positively turning soil containing a large amount of nitrogen into a nitrogen starvation state and thereby minimizing the content of the eluviating nitrogen. ;SOLUTION: The content of eluviating nitrogen in soil is lowered by mixing an organic matter in soil and proliferating microbes in the soil or microbes added to the former. For the soil, such a type as found in fallow paddy fields, ex-plant sites, livestock raising grounds or the like which are nitrogen-rich, is preferable. For the organic matter, wood materials such as wood chips and sawdust which are suitable for addition into the soil are preferable. In addition, for the soil microbes or the microbes to be added to the former, nitrogen- consuming microbes such as bacteria are preferable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
