PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building design system by which various customer's requests can be met and the design work of a building can be easily performed and a recording medium with a building design program recorded thereon. ;SOLUTION: In the case of preparing the plans of a building by the building design system 1, a main/sub-core retrieving means retrieves and extracts main cores and sub-cores from a core data storage means 22 storing the data of main cores and sub-cores and combines these extracted cores. Thereby the combination error of both the main and sub-cores can be automatically excluded by algorithm for regulating the combination of both the main and sub-cores set in the system and even a business man having no detailed knowledge of construction can easily prepare the plans of various buildings.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
