PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work load of an analysis worker, to speedily conduct an identification process for every transmission and to quickly output ocean conditions. ;SOLUTION: The system-identifies each of the plural sound wave propagating time information, which are measured by the single reception of the sound waves in the ocean between a transmitter and a receiver and have different propagation paths, as one of the plural standard sound wave propagating time information which are beforehand prepared. Then, based on the identification result, the ocean condition information related to the plural standard sound wave propagating time information are corrected and the latest measured ocean condition information is obtained. During the above operation, a tracking process is used to correspond the already identified past sound wave propagating time information to the measured sound wave propagating time information which is to be identified. Then, based on the obtained corresponding results, the measured sound wave propagating time information is identified to one of the plural standard sound wave propagating time information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
