PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a braided composite material and a lightweight structural member with outstanding energy absorbing properties using the braided composite material. ;SOLUTION: This braided composite material is composed of a core material comprising a high tensile fiber coated with a resin and a set-up braided material around the core material.
