METHOD FOR REGISTERING PARKING RATES, MANAGING PARKING LOT AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING PARKING RATES IN PARKING LOT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vehicle to enter/leave a parking lot for collecting parking rates without stopping in the entrance/exit without requiring a parking ticket and to prevent the congestion of vehicles in the entrance/exit. ;SOLUTION: When a vehicle comes to the entrance of the parking lot, the ID number of the ID card of the vehicle is reported by communication between on-vehicle equipment and the parking lot. The time of entering is recorded in relation to the ID number. The rate is previously registered at a prescribed spot in the parking lot and recorded in relation to the ID number. Afterwards, the ID number of the ID card loaded on the vehicle is recognized by communication between the on-vehicle equipment of the vehicle coming to the exit and the parking lot. The parking rate is calculated, the ID number is retrieved and since the rate is registered concerning the ID number, the parking rate is subtracted. When the settlement is completed, leaving of the relevant vehicle is permitted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
