PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure which can stably set a cover means while ensuring good appearance of a house external surface, and to obtain a construction method, by arranging the cover means between an eaves-side edge of a solar battery module which is placed at a location closest to eaves, and an eaves edge stopper metal fitting which is arranged at the front end of the eaves edge. SOLUTION: A lower edge cover means 9A is constituted of an eaves edge plate 9, a tie plate, and an eaves edge stopper metal fitting 98, and the front end of each means is clamped by a bolt. The eaves end stopper metal fitting 98 is nailed on battens 99 for holding tiles at the eaves-side edge. Solar battery modules 2 are roofed toward the eaves side by superposing a lower frame member 52 of the module 2 on an upper frame member 51 of the other module 2. An eaves edge folding portion 92 is engaged with the front end of the eaves end stopper metal fitting 98, and a ridge-side folding portion 91 is inserted into a gap between a pressing portion of the lower frame member 52 and a lower piece of a connecting plate 55 to be pinched by the same. Then, the folding portion 92 is mounted on a sheathing roof board 78 in a state being pinched by the solar battery module 2. Thus, the appearance of a lower portion of a house external surface is well maintained, and the eaves edge cover means can be stably set by simple work.
