PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the accurate depth of a subject based on a plurality of parallax images of the subject where a mirror surface reflection component or a transmission light component is included.;SOLUTION: A control part 39 for sequentially picking up a plurality of parallax images that are obtained when a viewpoint for monitoring the subject is moved nearly on a straight line, a straight line component detection part 22 for detecting straight line components with approximate linearity in time space images that are aligned in the direction of time base in the order of the move of the view point, and a distance calculation part 38 for calculating to the region of the subject whose image is picked up on a pixel on the straight line component with approximate linearity, based on the tilt of the straight line component with approximate linearity are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
