PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a conventional laser communication optical receiver for an artificial satellite so as to reduce the number of optical path switching mirrors. ;SOLUTION: The receiver 90 that acquires, traces and receives a reception signal 92 is provided with an acquisition/tracking beam splitter 112 which is configured to divide the received signal into an acquisition/tracking signal 114 and a communication signal 116. A acquisition/tracking optical member 118 has a visual field, in which an optical member focuses a signal and acts on the signal made incident at an incident angle so as to focus the signal within the visual field related in correspondence to the incident angle. Acquisition sensors 120, 126 and tracing sensors 122, 128 are placed within the visual field of the acquisition/tracking optical member 118. A steering device 108 is placed to transmit the acquisition/tracking signal 114 to the a acquisition/tracking optical member 118 at a 1st incident angle which is selected in advance.
