PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately uniformize the temperature of a panel so as to set it at a predetermined temperature when the temperature of the panel for a cathode-ray tube is thermally uniformized in a thermostatic oven so as to set it at the predetermined temperature before the formation of a phosphor screen.;SOLUTION: The temperature of a panel 4 to be thermally uniformized is measured before a temperature stabilization process in a thermostatic oven 1, and the period of the temperature uniformized process in the thermostatic oven 1 is set to a length according to the measurement result, so that the panel is correctly set at a predetermined temperature. A preliminary thermostatic oven 6 and a final thermostatic oven 1 are installed as the thermostatic ovens, the panel before the temperature uniformized process is thermally pre- uniformized to an appropriate temperature lower than the predetermined temperature in the preliminary thermostatic oven 6, and thereafter, the panel 4 thermally pre-uniformized in the preliminary thermostatic oven 6 is thermally uniformized to a predetermined temperature of 28°C in the final thermostatic oven 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
