FUEL ELEMENT FOR GAS COOLED FAST BREEDER REACTOR, FUEL EVACUATION VESSEL AND FUEL EVACUATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel discharge system for automatically and quickly retreating fuel from a reactor core and keeping safety in the case of a reactor depressurization accident. SOLUTION: A fuel particle 6 layer lower part in a fuel element 1 and the fuel element 1 lower part are connected to each other by a fuel discharge pipe 9, a valve 10 voluntarily opened at the time of abnormality on sensing the reactor pressure and temperature is provided in the lower part of the fuel discharge pipe 9, thereby dropping the fuel particles 6 when a reactor is abnormal to be discharged from the reactor core, and a fuel evacuation vessel 2 having a cooling panel 14 and a boron contained graphite post 16 for absorbing neutrons is installed in the lower part of the fuel element 1, thereby keeping safe the dropped fuel particles 6 while being cooled.
