PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the forming method and the like of an image with a high density and a high chroma, which will not spoil the feel of a material of a medium to be recorded and which will reduce the occurrence of white lines. ;SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a process of reacting the liquid drop of water-base ink containing a coloring material with a liquid composite containing fine particles having a reacting nature with the coloring material on the medium to be recorded. The image forming method, an ink set, a liquid drop injection recorded image, a recorded matter, a surface-treated article and the surface treating method are characterized by comprising a process effecting the reaction between the coloring material in the liquid drop and the fine particles in the liquid, produced by the combination of the liquid drop and the liquid composite, a process of adsorbing the coloring material onto the surface of the fine particles under a monomolecular state in the liquid drop, and a process of causing the flocculation of the fine particles adsorbed on the surface of the coloring material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
