PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for counting flying insect pests attracted by pheromone and a constituent apparatus to be a means for collecting data by a generated wavelength to catch and kill the insect pests and for judging a preventing period.;SOLUTION: The number of insect pests is counted by a pheromone agent F hung from a trap roof, a trap equipped with a plurality of reflection type or transmission type infrared sensor 2 in a pheromone trap and the infrared sensor provided with advance inlets at both sides of the trap for measuring the number of inset pests attracted by the pheromone agent or coming close to the trap. Each counting apparatus is furnished with a cylindrical shape, a square shape or other roof type trap or a square shape trap provided with a wind direction plate at an opening part or a trap surrounded with an electric shock insecticidal beam around pheromone hung from the top of a trap or a draw apparatus equipped with an adhesion plate at the lower part of a trap or a water tank containing a neutral detergent at the lower part of a trap as a constitution of the pheromone trap and catches and kills the insect pests.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
