PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phyllosilicate-reinforced olefin metathetic polymer having various performances such as excellent mechanical properties, dimensional stability, heat resistance, flame retardance and gas barrier properties and to provide a method for efficiently and readily producing the polymer. ;SOLUTION: This phyllosilicate-reinforced olefin metathetic polymer is characterized as comprising an olefin metathetic polymer obtained by polymerizing an olefin metathetic reactive monomer using a metathetic polymerization catalyst and a phyllosilicate. The method for producing the phyllosilicate-reinforced olefin metathetic polymer is characterized by dispersing and mixing the phyllosilicate in the olefin metathetic reactive monomer and polymerizing the resultant mixture liquid in the presence of the metathetic polymerization catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
