PURPOSE: To obtain a chip inductor lead frame and a chip inductor using it, where a core is positioned at the center of a mold by adjusting only the holding arm of the lead frame in width even if the core is different in outer shape. ;CONSTITUTION: An electrode 5 is provided to both the end faces of a core respectively, and a wire 3 is wound on the core between the electrodes 5 for the formation of an inductance element main body 10, an electrode connector 24 electrically connected to the electrode 5 of the inductance element main body 10, arm pieces 23 prescribed in width and joined to the electrode connectors 24 are made to extend sideways and bent so as to confront each other at a certain distance determined basing on the size of the inductance element main body 10, the arm pieces 23 hold the inductance element main body 10 from both the sides making their bending positions serve as holding points, and a terminal 21 jointed to the piece 23 is connected to the wiring pattern of a mounting section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
