PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method of planting faces of slope or wall faces, and a planting base, a planting auxiliary member and a thin plate for use there in, by using environmentally resistant plants adapted for planting faces of slope or wall faces, and developing a planting base and a planting auxiliary member suited for the growth and maintenance of the plants and a planting method that makes effective use of them. SOLUTION: The simple method of planting faces of slope or wall faces includes preparing a planting base 10a provided with predetermined planting recesses, the base being formed of non-water-retaining members obtained by blending ceramic powders or porous concrete or natural stones and hardening them; inserting seedlings or stems 51 of an environmentally resistant plant, for example, sedum or the like, into the planting recesses 11 via a small amount of soil 13 with a planting adhesive added thereto; and causing the planting base 10a activated for the growth of the plant to be affixed on-site to the face of slope or wall face 50 with an adhesive or the like for fast fixing of the plant.
