JUDGMENT METHOD FOR SUITABILITY OF WEATHERPROOF STEEL BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a reliable quantity of salt coming flying in without necessity of a long term local investigation and judge construction suitability of a weatherproof steel bridge and also rapidly select an optimum kind of weatherproof steel. ;SOLUTION: This judgment method includes a first process in which a quantity of flying salt in an expected construction site of a weatherproof steel bridge is measured in a first term, a second process in which respective generating quantities of salt in the first term in the seashore and in a second term longer than the first term are calculated while using the data base of the wind direction and wind velocity in the district including the estimated construction site of the weatherproof steel bridge and the seashore, a third process in which a quantity of flying salt in the second term in the estimated construction site of the weatherproof steel bridge is estimated on the basis of the measured result of the quantity of flying salt, in the estimated construction site for the bridge and the calculated result of the generating quantity of salt in the first and second terms in the seashores, and a fourth process in which construction suitability of the weatherproof steel bridge is judged and the optimum kind of weatherproof steel is selected on the basis of a quantity of flying salt specified in advance, a judging reference concerning the construction suitability of the bridge and the selection reference of the optimum kind of weatherproof steel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
