PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equal time interval operation system and a controlling method for equal time interval operation which correct deviation of operation interval caused by an error of stoppage time at a station.;SOLUTION: An equal time interval operation system comprises a ground transmitter 11 located at a terminal station to transmit a signal of operation interval T, a train transmitter 15 located inside a train 13 to receive and store the operation interval T, and a ground transmitter 18 located at an intermediate station to measure a time elapsed from the departure of a preceding train till the arrival of a following train and transmit it to the train transmitter 15 in an arriving train. The train transmitter 15 controls the train 13 to make it leave the intermediate station maintaining the operation interval T or to make it leave the intermediate station after a required minimum stoppage time elapse and carry out recovery running operation to the next station, based on the result of comparing the operation interval and the elapsed time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
