PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new gene which codes for the heavy-chain variable region of an anti-chrysanthemic acid monoclonal antibody having a specific amino acid sequence, and can be used for producing the antibody which allows rapid and accurate detection of chrysanthemic acid having the basic structure of pyrethoroid insecticides. ;SOLUTION: This is a new gene which codes for the heavy-chain variable region of an anti-chrysanthemic acid monoclonal antibody, wherein the region has an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of the amino acid sequence having amino acid residues from no. 1 to no. 112 shown by formula &Igr;, the amino acid sequence having amino acid residues from no. 1 to no. 112 shown by formula, Π, and amino acid sequences obtained by deleting, substituting, or adding gone or more amino acid residue(s) from, in, or to those amino acid sequences, allows interacting with chrysanthemic acid by forming an antibody-binding site, and can be used for producing the antibody which allows repaid and accurate detection of chrysanthemic acid having the basic structure of pyrethgroid insecticides.
