VIBRATION SUPPRESSING DEVICE FOR WIND TUNNEL TEST MODEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the vibration of a model under ventilation in a vibration suppressing device for wind tunnel test model. ;SOLUTION: The base of a sting 11 is fixed to the fixing side and the model 10 is fixed to its tip. Pairs of left/right vibration suppressing plates 12 are fitted in the intermediate part of the sting 11 into three stages axially. The base of the vibration suppressing plate 12 is fixed to a gear 14, and the gear is rotatably fixed to the inner wall of the sting 11, engaged with a motor side gear 13, and rotated by a motor. The vibration of the model 10 is detected by a displacement sensor 15, and a control device 16 controls the motor to attenuate the detected displacement, and mutually reversely turns the left/right vibration suppressing plates 12 in the circumference of the sting 11 so as to reduce the vibration of the sting 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
