PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect partial discharge by separating a signal of a noise component from an ultrasonic wave signal gathered by a microphone and transmitting only a signal due to the partial discharge to a display part. ;SOLUTION: A detecting device 1 is constituted by arranging an ultrasonic wave sensor 2 which collects an ultrasonic wave, a band-pass filter 3, and a detecting circuit 4 and transmits the output of an additional filter circuit 5 which passes only a frequency twice as high as the commercial power frequency to a display device to display it. Then frequencies other than a specific frequency are removed to transmit only information on a vibration wave due to the partial discharge to the display device 6, so that the discharge can easily be decided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
