METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXTRACTING MULTI-BAND IMAGE INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract spectral reflective data and light-source distribution information for an object out of a picture of a multi-band image, as two-dimansional image information. ;SOLUTION: Multi-band image information is acquired with a multi-band camera 10 by lighting an object 16 having a light source 12, whose light source information is unknown. The light source whose light source information is unknown and a probe light source 14, whose light source information is known, are used together to light the same object 16 for acquiring a multi-band image. The multi-band image information for the object, when the probe light source is not turned on, is subtracted from that when the prove light source is turned on to provide a difference, which is divided with the known probe light source information to provide a spectral reflectivity information of the object.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
