METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPTIMIZING RESOURCE TRANSITION FROM LOW PRIORITY JOB TO HIGH PRIORITY JOB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for ranking priorities in the uses of basic processing resources, in a multifunctional printing system. SOLUTION: The printing system uses a control part having an improved job contention manager(JCM). Each of plural basic resources in the printing system is provided with a queue. As for one or more job services at a desired time point, a signal is transmitted to the JCM, so that the sub-job of a prescribed job is executed. A signal for each sub-job includes information on each of sub-jobs and the priority thereof. In accordance with the signal from the job service, the JCM adds a corresponding basic resource sub-job to the queue of respective basic resources required for executing that sub-job. When each of sub-jobs is positioned in the head of the queue of all basic resources required for executing that sub-job, preparation for processing is completed.
