PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing grating type optical parts which can reflect light of plural wavelengths varying from each other, are little in loss and low in a cost.;SOLUTION: The grating type optical parts having no fusion spliced parts between the adjacent gratings are formed by preparing a phase mask 8N formed with plural grating forming patterns 1a to 1d varying from each other in a horizontal array in peries, covering an optical fiber 2 with the phase mask 8N in such a manner that the respective grating forming patterns 1a to 1d face the optical fiber 2, then subjecting the optical fiber 2 to irradiation with UV rays via the phase mask 8N thereby integrally arraying and forming plural kinds of the gratings 6a to 6d varying in the reflection wavelengths in series in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 2. Plural kinds of the series gratings 6a to 6d a are integrally housed in a temperature compensation package 3N for compensating the dependence of the gratings 6a to 6d on temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
