PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorizing and smoke eliminating agent for grill cooking, having durability for continuous use in many times, for effectively adsorbing oil and fat components and water produced during the grill cooking and showing an excellent deodorizing and smoke eliminating effect. SOLUTION: By noticing the porosity, minus-ion charging ability, a permeation and swelling property and a specific surface area of a montmorillonite ore which is a three-layer structured crystal of microparticulates, a domestic natural montmorillonite ore having a particularly remarkable permeation and swelling property is used, which is dried and powdered for keeping its property to the maximum to achieve the above objects.
