PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive process for obtaining high-purity tetracyclododecene(TCD) in a high yield by using inexpensive dicyclopentadiene(DCPD) containing impurities as a raw material and for producing norbornene (NB) at the same time. ;SOLUTION: A simultaneously producing process of both NB and TCD features that ethylene and DCPD are continuously fed into a reactor to react them, produced NB is separated, a part of the NB is circulated into the reactor and the remainder of the NB is collected as a product in such a way that the content of 5C components contained in a circulating flow is decreased.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
