PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that gas refrigerant and oil are not surely separated from each other in a conventional intake muffler for a compressor, reliability is reduced since lubricating oil is exhausted from the compressor, and heat transfer efficiency of a heat exchanger is reduced, since an efficiency for delivering separated oil into a compressor closed container is not high. ;SOLUTION: An intake muffler for a compressor is provided with a front surface wall 31a, a back surface wall 31b opposed to the front surface wall 31a, a refrigerant inlet 32 disposed on the front surface wall 31a so as to penetrate on the front surface wall 31a, and an oil separating plate 33 whose one end is connected to a lower end of the refrigerant inlet 32 and the other end is connected to the back surface wall 31b, and which is sloped at a down slope toward the refrigerant inlet 32 from the back surface wall 31b.
