PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveilance radar system and a target display method of the system which can discriminatingly present the position of a specific target on a display screen for a radar echo to a radar operator together with features of the echo. ;SOLUTION: In a display processing part 30, a target detection processing part 31 detects a specific target from the radar echo outputted from a signal processing part 20 and a tracing processing part 32 traces the target detected by the target detection processing part 31. A color information addition processing part 33 adds color information to the echo of the target received from the tracing processing part 32 according to luminance information and predetermined and set color specification information and sends the resulting information out to an image expansion processing part 34. The image expansion processing part 34 puts the echo of the target to which the color information is added together with another echo outputted from the signal processing part 20 and expands the composite echo in an image memory 40, so that it is displayed out on a color monitor 50.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
