Radar transmitter and two targets simulator for surveilance radar system

摘要

This paper contains a short presentation of a surveillance radar system which was derived from a professional radar system that was in use in Croatian air traffic control till the end of 2012. Now it is in use at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences in educational process for the implementation of laboratory exercises in several courses. Development plans for new subsystems that will be integrated after developments are listed. These new subsystems will significantly contribute to the improvement of educational process. Development, production and final testing of radar transmitter and two targets simulator for primary radar are described in particular. Final functional testing and measurements results are also shown. The simulator developed for this project can be used for other surveillance radars if they are operational in L band frequencies.
