DIGITAL EXCHANGE AND INCOMING CALL TRANSFER METHOD IN DIGITAL WIDE AREA NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incoming call transfer service that causes no connection delay, does not use an inefficient long distance line and reduces a communication charge by automatically connecting a caller terminal to a transfer destination terminal in the case that the distance between the caller terminal and the transfer destination terminal is near in the incoming call transfer. ;SOLUTION: The digital exchange configuring a wide area network is provided with a means that compares distances among the caller terminal, a called terminal and the transfer destination terminal on the basis of the respective contained positions and allows an exchange containing the called terminal to send an interruption signal including a connection change instruction to the transfer destination terminal to an exchange containing the caller terminal in the case that (a distance between the caller terminal and the called terminal) plus (a distance between the called terminal and the transfer destination terminal) is greater than (a distance between the caller terminal and the transfer destination terminal) and with a means that automatically connects the caller terminal and the transmission destination terminal in response to the reception of the interruption signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
