PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device arranged capable of recording contents at the time from the starting operation of the video recording until the start of the video recording like the conventional practice by shortening the time of the cryptanalytic process at the start time of video recording, in the electronic device furnished with the control function of serial data bus and the cryptanalysis processing function. ;SOLUTION: In the system to construct a network by the plural electronic devices capable of connecting to the IEEE1394 serial data bus, the cryptanalysis is processed from the stage when the preliminarily cryptanalyzed contents are inputted to the electronic device (IRD) of the source side, before the cryptanalyzed contents are sent out to the electronic device (video recording device) of the destination side, and when these cryptanalyzed contents are sent to the electronic device of the destination side, the effectiveness of the cryptanalytic process is confirmed, then cryptanalyzed contents are recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
