PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimetric conversion coefficient computing method which eliminates the need for a dedicated device for measuring spectral characteristics of a light source and can convert photographed image data into colorimetric data with high precision by estimating light source characteristics easily, rapidly, and precisely at low cost by using an image pickup system, a colorimetric image picking-up means which obtains colorimetric data from a conversion coefficient, and an information recording medium with a program for colorimetric coefficient computation or colorimetric image pickup operation recorded thereon. SOLUTION: After a conversion coefficient for converting image data into a colorimetric value by using lighting spectral light characteristics obtained by picking up images of color marks having different spectral reflection factors and image pickup system spectral sensitivity characteristics, the spectral characteristics and spectral sensitivity characteristics are used to obtain an optimum solution representing the colorimetric value.
