PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for membership article purchase which give a reward to an introducer each time an introduced person purchases an article and reduce operation for giving and managing the reward. SOLUTION: This membership article purchase system 10a allows registered members 40a and 42a, i.e., a regular member and a new member introduced by the regular member to purchase articles and is equipped with a server device 2a and a member information database 4a which stores identification information on the registered member 30a while relating it to identification information on the registered member 42a having introduced the member; and the server device 2a accepts a request to purchase an article from the side of the registered member 40a through a terminal 8a connected to the server device 2a, retrieves the identification information on the registered member 42a from the member information database 4a according to the identification information on the registered member 40a sent through the terminal 8a, and computes the reward to be given to the registered member 42a.
