PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber non-woven fabric band-shape substance which has an aptitude which is extremely excellent as an electrode material of a sodium sulfur cell.;SOLUTION: The band-shape substance is formed by cutting a carbon fiber needle-punched non-woven fabric, and the carbon fiber of the carbon fiber non- woven fabric band-shape substance is oriented in the direction crossing at right angle the cutting face of the band-shape substance substantially, and the band- shape substance is laminated in the shape of a spiral cylinder so that the cutting face of the band-shape substance may constitute a circumference wall to form it as an electrode material of a sodium sulfur cell.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
