PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and an arrangement for improving the accuracy and efficiency of an angular velocity detecting gyro. ;SOLUTION: A voltage pick-off conductor is installed on the surface of the resonance element of an angular velocity detecting gyro which receives a stress of substantially zero, when the gyro is stopped to rotate. An actuator conductor is installed on the resonance element at a position specified by the area of the resonance element, which receives a substantially uniform level of stress when the gyro is at stand still to in terms of rotation. A method for improving the voltage response of a piezo-resonating element is also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
