PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow rate measuring range expanding method of fluid vibration type flow rate sensor for obtaining a fluid vibration type flow rate sensor designed to expand the measurable flow quantity, while keeping a predetermined measuring accuracy. ;SOLUTION: The fluid vibration type flow sensor 100 has an element having a size which causes a vibration at a frequency corresponding to the flow speed of a jet flow from a jet nozzle 7, and determines the vibration frequency by noticing the fact that an upper limit vibration frequency is invariant at which a linear relatin between the vibration frequency and the flow rate is kept in a fluid vibration type flow sensor 100, if the size of an element is changed which determines the vibration frequency within a range within which the linear relation between the vibration frequency and the flow rate is kept. The upper limit vibration frequency is obtained at which the linear relation between the vibration frequency, and the flow rate is kept and the obtained upper limit vibration frequency is applied as an upper limit vibration frequency of fluid vibration type flow sensor having another size at which a linear relation between the vibration frequency and the flow rate is kept.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
