PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing the rotor of a squirrel-cage induction motor for high-speed revolutions that enables a conductive coating material to be jointed over the entire surface of a rotor having the rotor structure of a surface continuous coating type with uniform strength, uniform precision and uniform and high jointing strength, and that prevents the deformation of the rotor or imbalance in the high-speed revolutions.;SOLUTION: (A) Stepped and recessed parts 12a that correspond to end ring parts 14a and a coating part 14b are formed on the surface of a rotor core 12 consisting of a magnetically soft material having high magnetic permeability and a relatively low electric conduction rate. (B) The end ring parts and coating part made of a conductive material that is low in the magnetic permeability and relatively high in the electric conduction rate are adhered and filled into the stepped and recessed parts airtight under a vacuum. (C) Then, an HIP device forms the joint parts integrally by diffused junction at high temperature and under isotropic pressure. (D) Finally, the outside surface is entirely processed into the smooth cylindrical surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
