PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure insulation displacement contact load and with good accuracy. SOLUTION: Load cells 5 for measuring load applied to right and left side walls 42R, 42L of a terminal 40 are disposed on both sides in the cross direction of the terminal 40, thereby individually measuring load FR, FL applied to the right and left side walls 42R, 42L of the insulation displacement contact terminal 40 simultaneously at each point of time of insulation displacement contact process, which are summed to be taken as the insulation displacement contact load applied to the terminal 40. Thus, accurate insulation displacement contact load can be obtained, and when the value of offset load obtained from the above is large, it can be detected that insulation displacement contact is offset to one of the right and left side walls 42R, 42L. When the dimensional specifications of the terminal 40 as a measured object are varied, the load cells 5 are moved to new measurement positions to instantaneously cope with the case by moving the load cells 5 horizontally and vertically.
