NON-PROTONIC SOLVENT EXCELLENT IN ELECTROCHEMICAL STABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemically stable nonaqueous electrolyte solvent having a sufficiently wide potential window by containing a 1,3-dioxolan-2-on derivative. SOLUTION: This solvent contains a 1,3-dioxolan-2-on derivative expressed by the formula I. In the formula, R represents a group expressed by the formula II or the formula III. In this case, R1 is a 2-4C alkylene group and may be the same or different, R2 is a 1-22C saturated or unsaturated straight chain, branch chain or cyclic hydrocarbon group and/or a derivative thereof, (n) represents the average polymerization degree of an alkylene oxide group and indicates an integer of 0-30. The solvent can be used as an ion-conductive electrolytic solution when an electrolyte is dissolved in it. The solvent can be used for a lithium ion secondary battery, an electric double layer capacitor, a super- capacity type device and the like as a solid or gel polymer electrolyte by adding the electrolyte to a solid or liquid polymer.
