PRECAST CONCRETE ARMOR UNIT AND BREAKWATER USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precast concrete armor unit causing no environmental pollution, allowing fish and insects to easily inhabit and being hardly carried away in the offing and a breakwater using same. SOLUTION: In this precast concrete armor unit 10, at least inward pointed four inserting holes 12 are formed in a large natural stone 11. Base parts 14 of bar members 13 having a large diameter are fitted in and fixed to the inserting holes 12. Tip parts 15 of the bar members 13 project from the natural stone 11. In this breakwater 21, the base parts 14 of the bar members 13 having a large diameter are fitted in and fixed to at least the inward pointed four inserting holes 12. The tips 15 become a projecting state. The armor unit 10 using the large natual stone 11 having a connecting hole 20 in a central part are accumulated and arranged in large numbers. The two or more armor units 10 are connected by inserting a connecting member 22 such as a chain, a wire and a rope into the connecting hole 20 of the respective armor units 10.
