PRECAST CONCRETE ARMOR UNIT TYPE OFFSHORE BREAKWATER AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precast concrete armor unit type offshore breakwater and its construction method preventing settlement due to scouring of the sea bottom ground under precast concrete armor units, initial settlement due to the weight of precast concrete armor units, and settlement due to consolidation. PSOLUTION: This precast concrete armor unit type offshore breakwater comprises: a pile foundation 4 driven into the bottom face of an installation sea area 3; a base shell 5 placed on the pile foundation 4 to form an installation area; and the precast concrete armor units 6 constructed in prescribed shape on the base shell. The initial settlement due to the weight of the precast concrete armor blocks, settlement due to consolidation, and settlement due to scouring of the sea bottom ground under the precast concrete armor units are prevented to improve a periodical maintenance state to thereby reduce a maintenance cost.
