PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pearl tone-decorated glass-ceramics which exhibits pearl tone effect and has the strength inherent in a translucent low-expansion ceramics and its manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: The pearl tone china painted glass ceramics can be obtained by china painting on a translucent low expansion glass ceramics 7 with a pearl tone pigment layer 6 which is composed of a pearl tone material of inorganic pigment coated by titanium oxide and silicone resin or silica sol and burning it. After formation of a pearl tone pigment layer, formation of a shielding layer over the pearl tone layer is preferable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
