PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clogging detection unit for powder sprayer, capable of accurately judging whether or not the sprayer is clogged by adequately setting the standard signal for judging clogging. ;SOLUTION: This clogging detection unit for a powder sprayer having a plurality of spraying sections comprises (A) a plurality of detection sensors S1 to S6, each with a pair of detection electrodes, arranged at certain intervals on the inner wall of each spraying section, (B) a plurality of signal detection sections SK which output the detection signals increasing or decreasing with passing conditions of the powder attached over a pair of the electrodes, and (C) judging means 100 which judges whether or not a plurality of the spraying sections are clogged with the powder, based on a plurality of the detection signals, wherein the difference between the average of a plurality of the detection signals and the minimum value (i.e., the signal from the electrodes at which the powder passes more smoothly than the others), to judge that the sprayer is clogged, when the difference exceeds the set value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
