PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly agitate the whole inside of a vessel in a short time without causing the insufficient mixture of a yeast liquid as non-Newtonian fluid and to prevent yeast from being impaired and biologically being inactivated regarding an agitator vessel for storing a yeast liquid mainly used in a beer- producing process, to provide a method for producing a fermented food such as beer using the agitator vessel and agitating elements installed in the agitator vessel. ;SOLUTION: In this agitator vessel for storing a yeast liquid to be fed into a fermentation vessel where fermented foods such as beer are fermented, agitating elements are constituted in such a way that the maximum diameter of a revolution body which is formed in rotating agitating elements is 60-90% of the diameter of the vessel and the height of the revolution body is 70% depth of the liquid normally stored therein.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
