PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform effective base isolation of a light building by a method wherein three steel balls are rolled in a state that lower and upper spherical plates made of a steel are disposed in a manner to hold the relative position of three steel balls situated in the shape of a regular triangle in a plane by using connecting plates formed by fluororesin molding. ;SOLUTION: A three-steel ball rolling base isolation device 1 interposed between a foundation slab 5 and a frame 7 consists of a lower steel spherical plate 2, an upper steel spherical plate 3, and a three-steel ball combination rolling part 4 nipped therebetween. The lower steel spherical plate 2 consists of a spherical surface 2B formed on the upper surface of a basement 2A, and a protrusion 2C protruded from the outer periphery of the spherical surface 2B. Meanwhile, the upper steel spherical plate 3 consists of a spherical surface 3B formed on the under surface of a basement 3A, and a protrusion 3C protruding from the outer periphery of the spherical surface 3B. The three-steel ball combination rolling part 4 is constituted such that the three steel balls situated in the shape of a triangle in a plane roll with the balls supported by upper and lower connecting plates.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
