PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection structure for a water-intercepting surface of slope in a final disposal site, capable of surely protecting a water barrier sheet that is laid on the ground of construction for a final disposal site from damage when the sheet is reclaimed, and of forming an inexpensive and stable protection layer, and to provide a construction method for a protection buffer body of the water-intercepting surface of slope in the final disposal site. ;SOLUTION: A protection structure for water-intercepting surface of slope in a final disposal site, has a water barrier sheet 4 laid on the ground of construction for a final disposal site 1, and a buffer body 5 formed by filling tire pieces, which are cut to have a diameter of several to tens centimeters, into bag body 9 consisting of corrosion resistant net bodies 6, 7.
