PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat on a static side form transferring to a rotation side and to finely and accurately control a feed size without requiring a slip ring, by fixing a bar-like super magnetic distortion material to the center part of a rotation main shaft, and connecting a means for controlling strength of a magnetic field to a coil wound about the material in non-contact. ;SOLUTION: A grinding-wheel holding tool 2 is mounted to the tip of a rotation main shaft 1, and rotation of a motor is transmitted to a grinding wheel 2a. A cylindrical super magnetic distortion material 3 is fixed to the center part of the rotation main shaft 1, a coil 4 is wound about it not to come into contact with the rotation main shaft 1 and the super magnetic distortion material 3. The super magnetic distortion material 3 comes into contact with the inside center part of a disk 5 made of flexible material via a slidable pressing body 6. A loop amplifier 9 compares a set position value with a measured value of a position of the grinding wheel holding tool 2, and transmits a signal for controlling strength of a magnetic field of the coil 4 to a controller 10. Displacement of the grinding wheel holding tool 2, a fed control member, is set smaller than that of the super magnetic distortion material 3 by the disk 5 and a diaphragm 7 (displacement reducing mechanism).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
